世界土壤日为每年的12月5日，旨在宣传健康土壤的重要性，倡导土壤资源的可持续管理。
2002年，国际土壤科学联合会提议设立世界土壤日。2013年6月，粮农组织大会一致赞同设立世界土壤日，并提请第68届联合国大会正式通过该国际日。2013年12月联合国大会设定2014年12月5日为第一个正式的世界土壤日，2015年为国际土壤年。
